We had so much fun at our first Moms Night Out! Everyone carried in dinner, and much to our suprise (and delight)- it was pretty much all desserts! We shared a short devotional, and spent the evening in the MOPS mini spa- all the moms received a facial and a hand treatment. We had so much fun that a few of us stayed almost until midnight just chatting!

Birthday Party Challenge
The Mommies went head to head this week in a challenge to create 3 different budget friendly Birthday Parties, and were well motivated with a prize of an hour and a half of free childcare!
Each team had to come up with a theme, an invitation, a cake or other food, decorations, and a game or activity without spending any money. The kids all voted on a winner, and we all celebrated together afterwards! 1st place- dinosaurs, 2nd place under the sea, 3rd place ice
cream. What a great collection of thrifty ideas!
L-R Kendal, Jeanne, Cassie, Cheri, Amanda
Dinosaur team- leftover decorations from a past dinosaur party and lots of toy dinosaours, super cute dinosaur cake and dinosour teeth (triangle shaped pb and J sandwiches!), and a dinosour hunt for game. Total cost $1.25 for a box cake mix!

Under the Sea- Decorate with sea shells and sand pails, super cute cake decorated with graham cracker crumb sand and gold fish crackers, activity- make a port hole out of paper plates, saran wrap, create an ocean scene inside. Total cost $0.00, way to go sea team!

L-R Beth, Amber, Linette, not pictured Jessica
Ice Cream Party- Build your own ice cream sundae! Decorate with sprinklings of actual toppings, game- build an ice cream cone blind folded. Everyone chips in toppings from home, total cost $3.95 for a bucket of ice cream- what a bargain!
